The Emirates Schools Establishment and Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities have announced a partnership to collaborate in attracting university graduates to the education field, specifically in Arabic language and Islamic education. The partnership aims to qualify these graduates to meet the employment requirements in the educational sector.


The partnership agreement was signed in the presence of Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chair of the Emirates Schools Establishment, and His Excellency Engineer Mohamed Al Qassim, Director General of the Emirates Schools Establishment. Representing Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities were His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Rashed Al Hameli, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, University President, His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments and member of the University's Board of Trustees, and His Excellency Abdullah Aqida Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the Zakat Fund and member of the University's Board of Trustees. The signing ceremony took place at the university's campus in Abu Dhabi, attended by several officials from both sides.


Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri emphasized the importance of this collaboration with Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, which aims to attract local university graduates, invest in them, and enable them to continue the national educational mission. She praised the university's efforts in graduating national talents who will significantly contribute to the sustainable development and progress achieved by the national education sector.

Her Excellency also noted that attracting national talents to work in the educational field is a top priority for the institution. The institution has set strategic goals to increase the percentage of nationals working in the teaching profession to meet relevant national indicators. The memorandum with Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities complements the institution's approach to expanding its partnerships with local universities to achieve its plans and vision in this field.


His Excellency Engineer Mohamed Al Qassim stated that national educational competencies are key to achieving significant advancements in the public education sector. He confirmed that the establishment operates under a comprehensive strategic vision to make the teaching profession attractive to new graduates, in addition to providing high-quality training and qualification to enhance their capabilities to keep pace with rapid global developments in education and to leverage these developments to open new horizons within the national educational system.


He added, "Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities is a national intellectual and knowledge beacon we are proud of, and we are confident that collaborating with it will significantly impact our shared aspirations to advance the national educational system."


His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri affirmed that the partnership lays the foundation for a new phase of collaboration between Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities and the Emirates Schools Establishment. It opens broader avenues for cooperation to supply the educational field with competent national teachers, especially in Arabic language and Islamic education. He stated that the university's vision and strategy are based on adopting comprehensive work plans and academic programs that align with the UAE's strategy to advance the education sector and create a qualitative leap in its outcomes to produce highly competent professional cadres. These cadres will contribute to the UAE's development and progress in various fields. He noted that the university graduates who join the teaching profession will be a valuable addition to the national workforce in this vital field, and the university will spare no effort to achieve the goals and objectives of the memorandum of understanding.


Under the partnership, joint programs will be developed to achieve both parties' strategic objectives, and career guidance workshops will be conducted to promote the teaching profession. These workshops will highlight opportunities and benefits to attract university students early in their academic careers and educate them about the job requirements of the teaching profession. Additionally, joint recruitment campaigns will be organized on campus to attract new graduates to work in the educational field.
